Fatal-Flaw Review
Great for: Resumes, research papers, academic journal articles, annual reports, high-stakes emails, formal correspondence, brochures
A fatal flaw review consists of a meticulous proofread. We review for errors in spelling, grammar, formatting, and typos. This service is perfect for near-final drafts that just need an extra pair of eagle eyes to make sure your copy is squeaky clean!
Making it Shine
Great for: Academic or scientific papers, grant proposals, cover letters, textbooks / training curricula, ESL writers
This level of editing goes a step further than the proofread above. We help to proactively improve the piece by providing recommendations for polishing sentences and improving syntax. We also tighten language—what we call “cutting the fat!”—by eliminating redundancy, economizing sentences, using active voice, among other techniques for clear, concise, and powerful writing. This kind of edit can also be invaluable for writers for whom English is their second language (ESL) to ensure that the copy reads naturally.
